National Accreditation Board of Malaysia (LAN)
LAN is concerned with monitoring and maintaining the standard and quality of private higher education institution. Its role ensures all courses offered by PHEIs are closely scrutinised against a set of mandatory minimum standards and measured against the institution's learning outcome expectations to safeguard quality consistency on the national level.
This accreditation is a more detailed evaluation of the courses and includes interview with the institution's staff, management and students by a panel of peer assessors, observations of lectures, assessment of facilities, and verification of documents. Accreditation is paramount to ensure students of the institutions are awarded academic qualifications for the courses which are recognised by LAN.
